Hello, My name is Mariela Sobalvarro Jarquín.
In my family we are three, my husband (Richard), my daughter (Yolibeth), and me. I have two dogs. Their names are Luigi and Princess. I have two sisters, too. Their names are Indira and Patricia. Indira lives in the United States and Patricia lives in Mexico. I have three nephews Alberto, Patrick, and Cristopher. My family is very small. We are so close.
I have been teaching English for fifteen years. I learnt English in the university; I studied at UNAN-Managua and my degree is English. I am a teacher because I like to teach and support the students to improve our country.
I want to work with a Peace Corps Volunteer because it is one way that I can improve my English and learn about strategies to work with the student.
One thing I want people to know about Nicaragua is the delicious food. My favorite food is chancho (pork) con yuca.
