Last Friday for our monthly date night, we headed downtown to the grand re-opening of the Teatro Estelí. Andrew stumbled on the re-opening the day before, chatting up the owner in that Nilsen fashion. He bought tickets for the balcony, but the night of the show the owner invited us down to the VIP area. Our upgrade included free food and drinks as well as a great dancing floor. Even though the super fresh (sprayed?) red paint came off on our clothes and shoes, we danced the night away to a popular Nicaraguan band that are from the Estelí area, the Mokuanes!
