Not only do we enjoy writing and storytelling, but this blog is a great way for us to work towards meeting the Peace Corps’ 3rd Goal – To promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. We share our stories, you all read them, hopefully learn a little about Nicaragua and our Peace Corps lives here, and then comment on how much you love and miss us. Of course, these comments of simple love and support are always welcomed and great lift our spirits. (Seriously, don’t stop! Each and every one adds such a wonderful boost to our day! We also always try to write you back.) However, we would love to take this blog a step farther and create more of a space for you to join in on conversations with us.
This month, we’ve been writing a little about Cultivating Creativity: Letting Go of Comparison. We’ve shared from our experiences and our Peace Corps lens, but we would love to hear what you think about this guidepost as well.
A few thoughts to ponder:
+ What ways are you comparing yourself to others?
+ How can you cultivate authentic creativity in your own life?
If you have any experiences, struggles, triumphs, or just musings in these areas, please join the discussion here. We would love to hear how these ideas affect your lives, too. May this space become one that invites, encourages, and welcomes us to share.
